Dr. Ryan grew up in the Durham Region and returned to help service the community through
Chiropractic care and extensive volunteer work. Currently he does talks on injury prevention and
treatment for the running room and is a Canadian Chiropractic board examiner testing competency
of Chiropractic students. He is engaged to be married in 2018 and has two wonderful young children
(Mollie and James). In his off time, Dr. Ryan likes to be active by playing golf, hockey, indoor soccer,
snowboarding, and ultimate Frisbee.
As a doctor of Chiropractic, I have been trained to diagnose and treat many injuries and conditions using various methods. Every person is different and no one injury or ailment presents in the exact same manner. It is my job to get to the root of your problem and decide the best course of action to improve your overall quality of life. The following are the various treatment methods that I use:
Pro Adjuster Technique (computerized adjusting method)
Diversified Chiropractic Technique (manual adjusting method)
Graston Technique (advanced soft tissue therapy)
Kinesiology Taping Certification
Orthotic Gait Analysis and Prescription Certification
Muscle Release Technique (soft tissue therapy)
As a Doctor of Chiropractic it is my duty to continue to educate myself on Chiropractic through seminars, certifications, or even reading and talking with colleagues.
Chiropractic 2.0 – No bending, twisting, cracking or popping
Our pro adjuster is a Chiropractic tool developed by technology from NASA and used to both evaluate and treat specific areas of the spine. We can accurately detect and measure precise levels of mobility in the spine and once located we can fix those areas without the more traditional methods of bending, twisting and cracking. Pro adjuster gives pre and post feedback each visit to the patient allowing you to understand exactly how your body is moving versus when you came in. The new wave of chiropractic is here and we call it Chiropractic 2.0.
From the time I graduated as a Chiropractor I have been volunteering my time for various community events. I have volunteered for Relay for Life, annual Terry Fox runs, Subaru Iron Man Competitions, and various health and trade shows for the senior citizen centers. I also participate in reoccurring lectures for Running Room teaching athletes how to avoid and recover from injury and I talk health on a semi-annual basis with Topps weight loss group. In addition to all my local involvement, I am a Canadian Chiropractic Board Examine. This involves travel to Calgary, Montreal, or Hamilton once/year to test the skills of Chiropractic students from around the world and ensure they are competent to be licensed as Chiropractors within Canada.
Living Active with the Family
Away from the office I like to be as active as possible, whether it’s playing sports or enjoying some family fun with my fiancé Monika and our 2 young kids Mollie and James. I enjoy playing hockey year round, love to golf whenever I have the opportunity, and I play indoor soccer and snowboard through the winter. The kids love it outside and we tend to spend the warm weather in the backyard swimming, running through sprinklers and riding bikes around the neighborhood. Even when its freezing cold outside, it’s impossible to keep the kids locked up as they are always out and about playing hockey, building snow forts, or ambushing me with snowballs!
